Yes. At Optimize you have your blood drawn without a GP referral: you start online, book your own appointment at one of 250+ draw locations across the Netherlands and read your results in the Optimize app within 24 hours. You decide when and how often to check your blood values.

In four steps. You start online with a core membership (€1 a day, with a yearly blood test of 60 values) or pick a single blood test from €49. Then you book a draw appointment near you in the Optimize app, come fasted, and within 24 hours your results are in the app, explained. Your account takes two minutes.

Anyone aged 18 or over who wants insight into their own blood values, symptoms or not. Optimize is preventive blood testing and does not replace your GP: values outside the range are something to discuss with your doctor, and the app says so when it matters.

For 60 blood values in one draw, with the core membership: heart and vessels (cholesterol, LDL, HDL, triglycerides), blood sugar (glucose, HbA1c), liver, kidneys, thyroid, iron, vitamins such as D and B12, inflammation and hormones. Yes. Upload the results from your GP or another lab in the Optimize app and you get the same explanations, the same dashboard and your biological age, without a new blood draw.

Yes. With Optimize every draw is fasted: from midnight you eat and drink nothing but water, until after your draw. With a morning appointment that makes 8 to 12 hours of fasting. No coffee, tea, juice or chewing gum, as they affect your blood sugar and blood fats (glucose, insulin, triglycerides). Take your medication as usual unless your doctor says otherwise. Appointments are therefore in the morning, until 12:00, so you only postpone breakfast.

In the Optimize app, in a few minutes. After you start, you pick a draw location and a time slot that suits you; no phone calls, no waiting list. Some locations offer walk-in: there you pick a one-hour arrival window in the app and confirm you are coming, then walk in within that hour. Either way you never queue.

The draw itself takes 2 to 5 minutes and is done by a laboratory phlebotomist. Nervous about needles or fainted before? Say so when you arrive; the team takes the time you need.

Cancelling is always free, right up to your appointment, in the Optimize app. Rescheduling in one step is not possible: you cancel and then book a new time slot that suits you. If you do not show up without notice, €10 comes off your saved credits.

Within 24 hours of your draw your results are in the Optimize app, and you get a notification when they are ready. The odd marker the laboratory runs separately can take a few days longer; the rest of your results do not wait for it.

The core membership measures 60 blood values in one draw, across heart and vessels, blood sugar and metabolism, liver and kidneys, thyroid and hormones, iron and blood count, vitamins and inflammation. A single test measures part of that, from one value (vitamin D) to the full comprehensive test with 52 values. Every value is explained in the biomarker library.

Yes. Every blood value is explained in plain language: what it measures, how your result compares with the lab's reference range and what you can do about it. From that follows a personal action plan for nutrition, sleep and training. When a value is out of range, the app tells you when to discuss it with your doctor.

Your biological age is how old your body is according to your blood, rather than your birth date. Optimize calculates it with PhenoAge, a validated model from Yale, from nine blood values such as glucose, CRP, albumin and your blood count. It is part of the core membership and also available on its own as the biological age test for €69.

The core membership is €1 a day, €365 a year in one payment, including a yearly blood test of 60 values, your biological age, a personal action plan and the Optimize app. Prefer a one-off? A single blood test starts at €49; the comprehensive test with 52 values is €229. The app itself is free.

No, preventive blood testing without a referral is not covered by basic Dutch health insurance; you pay for it yourself and it does not count towards your deductible. Some supplementary policies reimburse part of a preventive health check. Check your policy or ask your insurer.

Your membership runs for a year and then renews automatically, so your yearly blood test continues. Two weeks before renewal you get an email; you can cancel up to that moment in the app or with one email to support@optimizelifestyle.io. After cancelling, your membership stays active until the end of the current year.

Yes. Your data is encrypted, stored on servers in the EU and covered by the GDPR. We never sell your data and never share it with advertisers; you decide who sees your results. Our security follows ISO 27001 and NEN 7510, and you can export or delete your data at any time.
